SPF Studio is a collaborative creative sewing studio and workspace based in Sydney and dedicated to fashion, sewing, textiles, and related creative practices.
The goal of SPF is two-fold: one, to support independent designers and creatives by providing an environment to create, grow and collaborate. And two, to make sewing, fashion, and creative making accessible to everyone.
We believe that the skills of making, repairing, designing, and creating should be shared, celebrated, and available to all, regardless of experience. Through our studio, workshops, events, and creative community, we aim to educate, inspire, and empower people to develop practical skills and explore their creativity.
At the heart of SPF Studio is a commitment to fostering an inclusive, collaborative community where creativity is encouraged, knowledge is shared, and makers of all levels can learn, connect, and grow together.
Our evolving ecosystem
Casual Studio Use
For people who need access to a fully functional sewing studio for casual or sporadic use. You are able to book in and use the SPF Studio facilities and equipment.
Workshops, Events, Pop-ups and Other Various Happenings
A regular programme of internal and external workshops, events, pop-ups and activations. These run multiple times a week and programmes are organised quarterly. Some of these include sewing and mending sessions, how to’s, open studios, sample sales, collaborative pop-ups.
SPF Showroom
A curated showroom of beautiful pieces, made and designed in studio. Open by appointment.
'Residents'
We have a handful of 'Residents' that work permanently out of SPF for their own creative practice.
MJ Repairs
A garment repair service to extend the life of your everyday clothes!
